Feeding Nightmare
It seems that lately Matthew just doesn’t want to eat any solid food, he only loves bottles. Even worse, he pushes me away whenever I approach him with a spoon full of solid food. He is not quite 20LB at his 1 year checkup which concerns me since that places him at 8th percentile. I have come to terms already that he’s not going to be a Michelin baby but I would hope that he can at least eat sufficiently. Most 1 year old at this point can down lumpy foods and even small sandwiches and carrot sticks. In our case, I can’t even get Matthew to like rice cereal. I’m determined not to give up though. A coworker found me a nice book on baby food by Annabel Karmel. Ed and I are going to be more serious about meal time now. We will start today eating as a family at the same time. No more playing with toys and watching TV. I’m going to try this with him and see how it is in a few weeks. It’s very nice to hear that his daycare teachers are willing to work with us. No matter what comes, at least I know we tried our best. Now it’s Matthew’s turn to cooperate a bit more. Good luck.

- 9:15am Fruit 水果 + oatmeal/rice cereal or 或者4oz 酸奶yogurt
- 12:00am Food (粥/菜/肉 或者 面/菜/肉) and 5oz 奶粉formula
- 3:30pm Fruit 水果 + cheese or 或者5oz 奶粉formula or 或者4oz 酸奶yogurt
- 7:30pm 豆腐蛋菜肉tofu/egg/veggie/meat and 水果fruit (avocado+banana)
- 9:00pm 4oz 奶粉formula
